Rotary Camps Glencairn has abundant explorable terrain. The largest fynbos labyrinth offers easy access to many species of flora and some fauna. We have the Else River flowing through the entire camp. The rock pools and Tidal pool at Glencairn Beach has many marine species to discover.

Test your strategy with a game of giant chess – fun for all ages!

Playpark

Little adventurers will love our playpark, complete with a jungle gym and slides.

Obstacle Course

Challenge yourself on our obstacle course along the Else River.

Hikes and walks along the Else River

Hikes and walks along the Else River allow for education and exposure to fynbos and wooded areas in a stunning environment.

Carols by Glowstick

Join us for our annual “Carols by Glowstick” event! Experience a magical winter night filled with caroling, illuminated by a sea of glowing glowsticks. Celebrate togetherness and the joy of the holidays in this enchanting atmosphere.

Glencairn Tidal Pool

Glencairn beach and tidal pool is a 10 minute walk from the camp – great for swimming!

Elsie's Peak Trail

A moderately challenging 4.3km hike nearby, with wonderful views.

Visit the African Penguin colony near Simon’s Town. Entrance fees apply; visit Cape Town Tourism for more information.

Visit Scratch Patch or try your hand at putt-putt in Glencairn.

Simon's Town Museums

Simon’s Town is home to several museums including the SA Naval and sub marine museums. You can also visit the Just Nuisance naval dog statue in Jubilee Square or take a short hike to see his grave.
